Saturday March 10th 2012 - Didi's Senior Recital

Congratulations Didi! You did it! I can't believe four years ago we were two freshmen who lived across the hall from each other, and now we are 1 semester away from graduation.

I am so proud of you! And so lucky to have a friend like you in my life.

Friday March 9th 2012

I know I am posting this a day early (Kelsey) because I have a different picture i wanted to post for Saturday : P

Today (aka Saturday morning) Kelsey and I went to the track meet to see our friend Collin whom I have not seen in about 2 years. It was so great to see him!

Oh and the wonderful Molly was there too!

Mol-ly Mo-ly Mo-ly!!

Best lunch ever!

I have recently discovered the great powers of garlic, world beware!! I use it on everything : D

Today, while I was reading for my lit class, I had a grilled cheese and avocado sandwich and chicken noodle soup. Great way to start the day.

"day light come and we don't wanna go home"

It is almost day light savings, my favorite time of year! Not because we lose and hour of sleep. That is the worst part. I love it because days extend, creating more opportunities and surprise moments. This was one of those surprises. On my walk home from choir, it was light out, with the birds chirping and the sun setting in the distance. The perfect way to end the day.

Then I switched my camera to a different setting. Look at the difference.

In an instant, things change. Happy to sad, light to dark. More often than not these changes are despised and hated because its not routine. I thrive on change! Yet I am a neat freak and have to have things in an orderly fashion. Why is this so? Because routine gets boring, and predictable. While predictable is good, where is the spice? The 'wowzer!' moment? The moment that takes your breath away? Where will these be? The power of change is undeniable and unpredictable, but so necessary in life. Take these two pictures for example: with a single touch of a button, the entire image is altered. It is our job to take this, and run with excitement thinking "what's going to happen next!?!"

Tuesday: Weird Weather

On Tuesday morning, I woke up to snow....in March.

It didn't last very long, but it left me with this reaction:

Need I say more?
