Monday: Day after Recital

I am still on a high from my senior recital!! Everything finally came together.  Even though there were mistakes, it didn't matter because I had an absolute blast! I don't remember having that much fun singing in front of people in a long time. I completely lost myself in pieces, and before I knew it, I was walking out on stage for the final set. It was exhilarating to be on stage and to share my passion with my family and friends. I would like to send out a very special thank you to everyone who came to my recital! I love you all so very much and I am so blessed to have you in my life : D. And for those of you who could not make it, I was singing to you, so I hope you were listening carefully!

I unfortunately did not take any pictures myself of this special day, but Aunt Terri was the photographer for the day and took about 300...probably. So as soon as I get copies I will post them.

However I do have a couple pictures I can post (two that my dear Molly took)

Molly, I love you so very much! You are one of my closest friends and I can't believe it has only been four years since I first met you. I feel like I have known you for years. We click on that level that only makes sense to us and I love that. You are so important to me, and I will always cherish our friendship forever. 

Here is Adam, Jake, Molly and I. I am soo incredibly happy that they came to my recital that I was beaming for the rest of the night and into the next day! : D

I am so lucky to have so many wonderful people in my life, I couldn't ask for anything more. But it keeps getting better, because now every time I walk into my room this is what I see and smell:

Recital Day Surprise!!

Sunday arrived, recital day. I couldn't believe it! It felt like it was just yesterday that I was scheduling my recital (back in September) HOLY CRAP!

So the goal of the day was to remain calm. After I woke up, I decided it would be best to start the day off right with some yoga. While transitioning between poses, I heard the doorbell ring and became very confused. I went to answer the door but didn't recognize the woman through the peep hole. When I opened the door the woman greeted me with "I have a delivery for Megan" and presented me with a beautiful flower bouquet! I was floored! Once I signed the paperwork and said goodbye, I ran back to my room to read the card. And here is what it said:

"Megan, 

Congratulations on your senior recital! I'm so sorry I couldn't be there!

I know you were awesome!
Love, Lauren"

So I would like to dedicate this post to Miss Lauren! Thank you so very much for the wonderful surprise! You made my whole day! You are the most wonderful loving friend, and I am so blessed to have you in my life. You have always been there for me, even when we don't see each other everyday. Your endless support and energy always keeps me going. I love you so very much! And I can't wait for your recital : D

Friday/Saturday

I forgot to take a picture on Friday, however that day I got to see my beloved EHS Concert Choir perform on the Lagerquist stage, and I was so proud of them!! They were amazing : D Following that Kelsey, Rachel, and I went out to pick up my recital dress from being altered and look for a dress for Rachel and Kelsey. We were partially successful: Kelsey found her dress and Rachel figured out what she wanted which is great. 

After our shopping adventure, it was time for a quick dinner then I was off to my dress rehearsal. It well alright, the nerves finally got to me. But I learned which songs I needed to review the next day before recital day. 

On Saturday, I went to a Orff workshop in Seattle for the morning with Rachel, Kelsey, and Gina. It was a wonderful workshop and we learned so much! Then on the way home we stopped at Rachel's house to pick up an possible recital dress that she already had and it was PERFECT! Of course afterwards we went to Chipotle, and it was marvelous!! Later that night, it was my buddy Darren's senior recital. It was magnificent! I am so proud of him, he totally rocked it!!!
